Oregon Hill Baptist Center

The Oregon Hill Baptist Center, under the direction of Rev. Jennifer Turner, is a vital ministry partner of Pine Street Baptist Church, helping us live out the love of Christ in practical and compassionate ways. For many years, the Center has been a place of welcome, care, and dignity in the Oregon Hill community, especially for neighbors who are unhoused or living on the margins. Through hospitality, relationship, and steady presence, this ministry offers not only assistance, but a sense of belonging.

Each week, Pine Street opens its fellowship hall as a place of gathering and grace, where neighbors experiencing homelessness are welcomed with warmth, breakfast, conversation, clothing, and support. What happens there is more than a service program. It is a ministry of human connection, where people are treated as family, stories are shared, and the love of God is made visible in everyday acts of care. Together, Pine Street Baptist Church and the Oregon Hill Baptist Center seek to be a faithful witness to Christ by serving with compassion, honoring the dignity of every person, and making room for hope.
